What to bring with you

Check this list to see which documents to bring with you to your Visa Application Centre appointment.
  • A copy of the Appointment Confirmation letter confirming the details of your appointment

    Received from VFS Global

  • Valid passport or travel document

    If you are applying for permission to travel to Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar or applying for an EUSS travel permit, your passport must contain at least 1 blank visa page.

  • Printout of your document checklist

    As part of your completed online application on GOV.UK

  • Supporting Documents

    If you have not uploaded your supporting documents online, you will need to purchase the Document Upload Assistance and bring them with you to the Visa Application Centre. Please refer to UKVI guidelines for your visa type for the documents you must provide. Documents should be sized, sorted and separated according to the supporting documents guidelines, to ensure swift processing at the Visa Application Centre.

    If you choose to upload your documents yourself online, it is recommended that you submit colour copies of your passport or travel document showing evidence of travel to other countries and any official observations or amendments.

You may also need to bring

  • If you are exempt from giving biometrics:

    One recent photograph, in accordance with UK Visas and Immigration guidelines.

  • If you are not a national of the country where you are applying

    Evidence of your permission to be in the country where you are applying.

  • If you are applying as a dependant

    Evidence of your sponsor's leave to remain in the UK.
