Step-by-step guide
Let us walk you through the process
The first step is to determine which visa type you need, and check whether you’re eligible to apply for it.
You’ll also need to know the documents that you’ll have to submit along with your application, how long the application might take and fees you’ll have to pay.
Each application must comply with the guidelines applicable for your visa category.
Once you are ready to apply, you can download the visa application form, complete it, print the complete form and bring it with you to the Visa Application Centre (together with the documents required for the Visa category chosen) for submission.
Before applying for a visa, you need to make an appointment to be fingerprinted and photographed at the Visa Application Centre. This procedure is called "biometric data collection".
Once you have booked an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the date and time of your appointment.
If you are planning to apply for a visa together with other family or group members, you will need to make an appointment for each family or group member separately.
To register for Switzerland for all purposes of travel except tourism, please send an email. For clients traveling for the purpose of tourism, the registration is carried out through the site. To register, please provide your name and contact phone number. Please do not send your personal data or other documents containing them.
For accredited travel agencies and organized groups traveling for the purpose of culture / sport: please send a list with the number of tourists and travel dates to email at least 1 month before the intended trip.
