Overview
You need to apply for the relevant visa type if you enter Hungary with one of the following purposes:
- Tourism
- Private visits (excluding visiting close relatives/family members/friends)

Visa Fees

- family members of EU/EEA nationals(European Economic Area);

VFS service charge:
Apart from the visa fee, VFS service charge in BYR of the equivalent of 18 Euros inclusive of VAT per application will be levied for customers applying at the visa application centre.
- VFS service charge needs to be paid in Belarusian rubles only.

- Visa fee and VFS service charge can be paid at the visa application centre in cash and are non-refundable.

Documents Required
Documents for traveling to Hungary
- Travel document (not older than 10 years from the date of issue, valid for not less than 3 months from the date of return, 2 blank pages with a “visa” mark)
- Visa application form is filled out in Russian (in Latin letters) or English + 1 colour photo (3,5 x 4,5cm) taken according to ICAO recommendations
- Travel medical insurance for the entire period of a trip with a minimum Schengen coverage area in the amount of 30 thousand euros. The insurance is accepted only in printed form and cannot be a group one.
- Confirmed and paid hotel reservation
- Letter of employment with confirmation of position and salary for the last 3 months. For individual entrepreneurs - the original and a copy of certificate of registration, certificate of payment of taxes, bank account statement;
- Confirmation of transport (booked tickets or driver's license with registration certificate and contract with the carrier)
- Copy of passport pages with personal information. For Belarus citizens – pages 32-33.
ATTENTION:
For students a certificate from the educational institution to be provided.
For minor a birth certificate is required (original + copy)
For minors traveling without parents or accompanied by only one parent, permission to travel abroad is required (original and a copy) and birth certificate (original and a copy).
Pensioners must provide a copy of their pension certificate and a certificate of the amount of pension received.
When presenting a sponsorship letter, you need also to attach the following documents:
- sponsor's financial guarantees
- copy of sponsor's passport
- documents confirming the relationship between the sponsor and the sponsored person.
Documents for traveling to Switzerland
- Travel document (not older than 10 years from the date of issue, valid for not less than 3 months from the date of return, 2 blank pages with a “visa” mark)
- Visa application form is filled out in Russian (in Latin letters) or English
- 1 colour photo (3,5 x 4,5cm) taken according to ICAO recommendations
- Travel medical insurance:
- Insurance must cover any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay;
- must be valid for all Schengen States and cover the entire period of intended stay or transit;
- minimum coverage must be 30,000 €;
- Original invitation (can be written in any official language of Switzerland or in Russian), copy of passport/residence permit of the host, financial information about the host (financial information for the last 3 months).
- Paid hotel reservation
- Letter of employment with confirmation of position and salary for the last 3 months.
For individual entrepreneurs - the original and a copy of certificate of registration, certificate of payment of taxes, bank account statement;
For students a certificate from the educational institution to be provided.
Pensioners must provide a copy of their pension certificate and a certificate of the amount of pension received.
Note: financial means should be 100 Swiss Franc for every day of stay. This can be reduced with prepaid bookings, prepaid tickets or invitation, which indicates that the host is covering the costs. (Except for EU, EEC, EFTA CITIZENS AND THEIR FAMILIES)

Photo Specifications
Please read the specifications for photographs carefully before submitting your visa application.
The photo needs to display a full frontal view of the face. The size of the face from the bottom of your chin to the hairline must be between 32mm (1 ¼ inches) and 36mm (1 3/8 inches). Please look directly into the camera with a neutral expression and without smiling.
The facial image must be sharp, clear, and with sufficient contrast. Please avoid photos with reflections or shadows on the face or with red eyes. The background should be neutral and light, providing sufficient contrast to the face and hair (a neutral gray). Reflection from glasses, sunglasses, or tinted glasses is not permitted. The eyes cannot be hidden by the glass frames.
The photo needs to be printed on high-quality paper with at least 600 dpi resolution; the colours must present a natural appearance and skin tone. The photo must not have kinks, scratches or stains on it. To know more about photo specifications click here.

Processing Time
Please submit your application at least three weeks before your planned trip.
Some applications may require additional processing time. Please note that all applications are reviewed individually.
The Hungarian Embassy in Minsk may require additional documentation and information, or you may be invited for an interview, which may increase the processing time.
Please note that application delivery to and from the Embassy may also take several days. Given the above and the ability to submit documents up to 180 days before your trip, we recommend submitting your application well in advance.
Approximate processing times for applications submitted in Minsk are listed below.
Visa applications are processed within 17 calendar days from the date the documents are received by the Embassy. In some cases, if more detailed checks are required, this period may be extended to 45 days.
When submitting documents in other cities, please allow an additional one business day for the document delivery time.

Overview
In order to make a transit to a country non-member of the Schengen Area through the territory of Hungary from the territory of Belarus or backwards you need to submit for transit visa.
Applicant needs to provide the set of documents required for this visa type.

- Confirmation of transport (booked tickets or driver's license with registration certificate and contract with the carrier)
- Copy of passport pages with personal information. For Belarus citizens – pages 32-33.
ATTENTION:
A transit visa is only granted if Hungary is the country of first entry into Schengen, or if you have paid hotel vouchers in Hungary (at least several overnight stays)
The maximum transit duration is 5 days (up to 10 days if you have a hotel reservation in Hungary)

Multiple entry visas request is usually possible if there are valid cooperation agreements, applications and/or early departures to the Schengen area (visas in the passport or copies thereof in case of passport replacement)
BUSINESS TRIP TO SWITZERLAND

The possibility of providing gratis visa is considered only if there is a corresponding line in the invitation or an application approved by the Consul.
If the host party does not provide accommodation, a confirmed hotel reservation is required.
