Medical Insurance Requirements
The applicant must provide medical insurance that meets the current requirements for a Schengen visa.
The insurance policy must:
- be valid for the entire period of the first planned trip;
- cover expenses related to emergency medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation;
- have minimum coverage of at least €30,000;
- be valid for all Schengen states included in the travel itinerary.
All other medical insurance requirements remain unchanged.

Dear Applicants,
Please be informed that effective from 1 April, the service fee for all applicants submitting visa applications for Bulgaria will be revised.
The new service fee will amount to EUR 28.
Payment is to be made in Belarusian rubles at the exchange rate applicable on the day of application submission. Kindly take this information into account when planning your visit.

Dear applicants!
As of January 1, 2026, the Republic of Bulgaria will join the eurozone.
In this regard, please review the information provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Minsk.
- A fixed exchange rate of 1.95583 levs per 1 euro has been established.
- From January 1 to January 31, 2026, both levs and euros can be used for payments. (As of February 1, 2026, the lev will cease to be a legal tender.)
- As of January 1, 2026, levs will be exchanged for euros free of charge and without time limitation, but only at the Bulgarian National Bank and at the territorial centers of Druzhestvo za Kasovi Uslugi AD in Bulgaria. (From January 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026, banks and post offices in settlements without bank branches will be able to exchange levs for euros free of charge.)
- From July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, banks and post offices in settlements without bank branches may charge a currency exchange fee. (The Bulgarian National Bank will be able to exchange levs for euros without limitation and free of charge.)

Other categories (except organized tourism, property owners, invitations) - under this category, applicants are registered when booking a hotel or accommodation in the private sector, etc.
Organized tourism - this category is for applicants who purchased a tour from a tour operator or travel agency and includes the following services - flight, accommodation, meals, transportation services/transfer and/or excursions.
Property owners - this category is for applicants who own property in the Republic of Bulgaria (notary deed with taxes paid).
Invitations - applicants with the following invitations are registered under this category:
a) private visit (declaration document certified by the Migration Agency and a Bulgarian notary)
b) business/official visit (declaration document certified by the Migration Agency and a Bulgarian notary)
c) consent to stay - notarized by a Belarusian notary (translated into Bulgarian by an accredited translator and certified by the Consular Service of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Minsk).
