Short Term Schengen Visa
A Schengen visa is issued to third-country nationals who, in accordance with the European Parliament and European Council (EU) Regulation 2018/1806 of November 14, 2018, must have a visa when crossing the external borders (a list of third countries whose nationals must be in possession of a visa when crossing the external borders of EU countries, see here).
This visa is issued to applicants who are planning to stay in the territory of Poland or Schengen countries (one or multiple entries) not more than 90 days in any 180-day period, which are calculated from the date of entry into the territory of the Schengen countries, or to transit through the Schengen territory countries (by train, car, plane).
A visa can be issued for one, two or multiple entries. The validity of the visa can not exceed five years.
When calculating the period of stay in the territory of the Schengen countries, the periods of stay on the basis of a residence permit or a long-term (national) visa are not taken into account
Limited territorial validity Schengen visas (LTV)
Limited territorial validity Schengen visas (LTV) are issued as an exception, only in certain cases. It gives the right to be on the territory of the state that issued the visa. It may be valid in the territory of several Schengen countries, if each party has agreed it.
Airport transit Schengen visa of type "A"
Airport transit Schengen visa of type "A" is issued to persons traveling by plane to the third countries, if the flight connection involves an intermediate landing in Poland. The “A” category airport transit visa gives the right to enter and stay only in the transit zone of an international airport (the visa does not give the right to enter the territory of the Schengen countries or exit the airport's transit zone). Long Term Visa
If you are planning to stay on the territory of Poland more than 90 days in total (one or more visits) during a year starting from the day of the first entry, you may need to apply for a long term visa.
Long Term National visa (“D”) allows to stay:
- In Poland – during the validity period of the visa
- All visas entitle D give a possibility to move around the Schengen area for 90 days in any period of 180 days - similar to titles of residence.
Period of validity of a Lomg Term National visa D cannot be more than 1 year!

Service Fee
VFS service charge:
Apart from the visa fee, VFS service is charged in BYN of the equivalent of 18 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Brest, Pinsk, Baranovichi), 12,84 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Grodno, Lida) according to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus exchange inclusive of VAT per application.
Visa fee and VFS Service Charge are to be paid at the visa application center in cash only. Visa fee and VFS Service Charge should be paid in BYN only

Visa fees - Schengen visa.
Legal grounds:
Standard visa fee is 80 Euro in line with Art. 16 of the European Parliament and Council (EU) Regulations No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009 that established the Community Visa Code (Visa Code) (Journal of Law L 243 of 15 September 2009, art. 1).
Separate rules for issuing visas and fee payments for short-term visas (Schengen) are established for the citizens of the countries that have entered into the agreement with the European Community on the facilitation of visa issue procedure:
- Azerbaijan, effective from 01 September 2014
- Albania, valid from 01 January 2008
- Armenia, valid from 01 January 2014
- Belarus, valid from 01 July 2020
- Bosnia and Herzegovina, valid from 01 January 2008
- North Macedonia, valid from 01 January 2008.
- Georgia, valid from 01 March 2011
- Cape Verde, effective from 01 December 2014
- People’s Republic of China, visa facilitation agreement for tourist groups (ADS Agreement 2004)
- Moldova, valid from 01 July 2013
- Serbia, valid from 01 January 2008
- Ukraine, valid from 01 July 2013 r.
- Montenegro, valid from 01 January 2008
Categories of Belarus Citizens waived for Schengen visa fee payment based on the Visa Facilitation Agreement signed before Belarus and EU:
- children under 12 years old;
- citizens of the Republic of Belarus aged from 12 to 18 years who submit their visa applications at the consular departments of the Republic of Poland or visa centers in the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
- for members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by this Agreement;
- for members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation addressed to Belarus, shall participate in official meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
- for close relatives – spouses, children, parents and persons exercising the parental authority, grandparents and grandchildren of citizens of Belarus legally residing in the territory of the Member States and of citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of Belarus;
- persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural and artistic activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including in the framework of exchange programs as well as other school related activities;
- participants in international sports events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities and other municipal entities;
- representatives of civil society organizations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programs;
- participants in official EU cross-border cooperation programs between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative;
Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of December 11, 2023 concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who submit visa applications for a national visa, from January 01, 2024 the fee for the acceptance and processing of the visa application form is 35 euros.
The following persons are exempted from paying the consular fee for the acceptance and consideration of the visa application form for a national visa:
- persons who have submitted documents confirming the necessity of their travel for humanitarian reasons;
- children under the age of 18;
- participants of scientific, educational, cultural and creative activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- students, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers;
- students, undergraduates, postgraduates and accompanying teachers traveling for study or training purposes, including exchange programs and other school activities;
- participants in international sporting events and accompanying persons for professional purposes;
- participants of official exchange programs organized by sister cities and other municipalities;
- representatives of public organizations traveling for trainings, seminars and conferences, including within the framework of exchange programs;
- participants of official programs of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and, if necessary, persons accompanying them;
- persons applying for a visa on the basis of the Pole Card;
- spouse of a citizen/citizen of the Republic of Poland, his/her minor direct descendant or minor direct descendant of his/her spouse, his/her direct ascendant or direct ascendant of his/her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on the citizen/citizen of Poland or his/her spouse.
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).
Consular fees may also vary if there are bilateral agreements that regulate this question.
In case of refusal to issue a visa, the consular fee is not refundable.

We kindly inform you that the underage participants of organized group trips are exempted from the personal appearance providing they are not required to submit their fingerprints (Applicants younger than 12 years or Applicants who have submitted the fingerprints during the previous 59 months).
Additionally, all participants of the group trips may authorize a third party to collect processed passports on their behalf.
Common documents required for applying for a Short-Term VISA „C”
- A filled and signed Visa Application Form;
- A valid color photograph of 3.5 x 4.5 cm (in accordance with Article 10 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 dated 13 July 2009;
- A passport issued during the past ten years valid for at least 3 months from the date of the planned return (in urgent cases in case justified this criterion may be omitted) with at least 2 blank pages dedicated for visas (in accordance with Article 12 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009);
- Two copy of passport pages with personal data;
- Copy of Schengen and national visas issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone for the last 3 years;
- Copy of passport pages with stamps of entries and exits of the last Schengen or national visa issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone;
- A medical insurance policy valid in the territory of all Schengen countries for an amount of at least € 30,000, covering all expenses that may arise in connection with a forced return for medical reasons requiring urgent medical care due to emergency hospitalization or death during the stay in the country of the Schengen Agreement. The insurance policy shall be valid for the entire period of stay or transit. Applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire duration of your planned stay when applying for a single or double entry visa; applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire period of the first stay when applying for a multiple entry visa (Article 15 of the EU Visa Code No. 810/2009);
- Return ticket or ticket reservation or other documents confirming the possibility of using means of transport. For example, an agreement with the carrier or a copy of the registration certificate of your own car, as well as a driver's license or documents confirming the right to use a car belonging to other persons or another type of transport, etc.
Documents proving financial means for a stay:
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months
- pension certificate / certificate of the person receiving the allowance, as well as information on the amount of payments received
- certificate of received social allowance for the last 3 months
- valid bank statement or a valid credit card copy with a bank certificate stating the financial means available for use

unemployed may confirm that they have enough financial means on the basis of a letter (“sponsorship letter”) confirming the availability of money to cover travel and stay expenses, as well as it is necessary to confirm that the sponsor has sufficient financial means (for ex., bank statement, certificate of employment with an indication of salary, proof of the presence of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).
This letter should include the following information:
- full name / first and last name, address and contact details of the sponsor,
- a copy of the sponsor's passport;
- date and signature of the sponsor,
- the relationship between the sponsor and the person applying for the visa,
- purpose and terms of the visit,
- list of expenses covered by the sponsor,
- statement of the sponsor's account with all banking operations for the last 3 months or
- traveler's checks issued on the name of the person applying for a visa or
- other documents confirming that the person has sufficient financial means for an intended trip (for ex., proof of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).

Employed applicants
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of current position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months or the time of work termination (if it took place within 3 months);

Individual entrepreneurs
- registration certificate of Individual entrepreneurship;
- latest tax return;

Unemployed applicants
- Pensioners or applicants who receive allowance shall submit a certificate of the pension payment amount/ allowance or pension certificate / certificate of an applicant who receive allowance;
- Schoolchildren and students - school /student certificate or certificate from the place of study;
- Other unemployed applicants shall submit documents confirming their bonds with Belarus (for. ex. marriage certificate; birth certificate of a child living in Belarus; death certificate of close relatives or documents confirming the presence of real estate in Belarus, and etc.) as well as a copy of filled work book records (original of work book for check) with personal data and information relating to employment over the last three years - if the applicant had been employed;

Foreign citizens residing in the Republic of Belarus
- a residence permit as per the law of the Republic of Belarus (in the case of foreign citizens residing in the territory of the Republic of Belarus).

Minors
- a birth certificate;
- a notarized consent of the parent or legal guardian who has not signed the visa application form for the departure of a minor from Belarus (original and copy). If both parents
/ legal guardians are present, when applying for a visa for a minor, a notarized consent to travel abroad is not required. To download the parental consent form for a

*in the Visa Centers in Brest, Pinsk and Baranovichi a notarized consent of the parent or legal guardian of a minor should be no older than a year from the date of issue - if the minor is travelling alone without parents (for. ex. as a member of a school group) - a notarized consent from both parents/legal guardians allowing the minor to leave Belarus;
- if a minor has only one guardian, an appropriate document should be submitted (court statement establishing the parent to be the single guardian, certificate of death or other document);
- for minors travelling with parents/legal guardians - copies of parents’/legal guardians’ valid visas should be provided.
- an original and a copy of the document confirming the reservation of the hotel, guest house, rental agreement or other document confirming lodging in the Republic of Poland;
- a detailed plan for every day of a trip

Photo Specifications
- Color, 3.5x4.5 cm, clear, clean and contrasting photo.
- Printed on high quality paper, with a white background.
- Taken not earlier than 6 months before submission.
- The applicant should be clearly identifiable:
- Full-face, with clearly visible eyes and face from both sides, from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders
- Face should cover 70-80% of the photo. No headwear is allowed
- Mouth should be closed, hair should not cover the face
- In case the applicant is wearing glasses – the following criteria is applicable: no shaded glasses, the rims should not cover the eyes, image should not contain flash/light reflections.
- In regards to religious headgear the following guidelines should be followed : chin, forehead and two cheeks should be clearly visible, no additional shadows from the headgear are allowed

Processing Time
The consulate makes a decision on a visa application within 10 days from the date of its submission for citizens of Belarus and other countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (in individual cases this period can be extended up to 30 working days). Processing time for other citizens is within 15 calendar days (in individual cases this period can be extended to a maximum of 45 days).
For citizens of countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (see https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy_en), the processing period of a visa application may not exceed 10 days.

Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:

The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).

Common documents required for applying for a Short-Term VISA „C”

- Return ticket or ticket reservation or other documents confirming the possibility of using means of transport. For example, an agreement with the carrier or a copy of the registration certificate of your own car, as well as a driver's license or documents confirming the right to use a car belonging to other persons or another type of transport, etc.
Documents proving financial means for a stay:
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months
- pension certificate / certificate of the person receiving the allowance, as well as information on the amount of payments received
- certificate of received social allowance for the last 3 months
- valid bank statement or a valid credit card copy with a bank certificate stating the financial means available for use

unemployed may confirm that they have enough financial means on the basis of a letter (“sponsorship letter”) confirming the availability of money to cover travel and stay expenses, as well as it is necessary to confirm that the sponsor has sufficient financial means (for ex., bank statement, certificate of employment with an indication of salary, proof of the presence of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).
This letter should include the following information:
- full name / first and last name, address and contact details of the sponsor,
- a copy of the sponsor's passport;
- date and signature of the sponsor,
- the relationship between the sponsor and the person applying for the visa,
- purpose and terms of the visit,
- list of expenses covered by the sponsor,
- statement of the sponsor's account with all banking operations for the last 3 months or
- traveler's checks issued on the name of the person applying for a visa or
- other documents confirming that the person has sufficient financial means for an intended trip (for ex., proof of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).

- Other unemployed applicants shall submit documents confirming their bonds with Belarus (for. ex. marriage certificate; birth certificate of a child living in Belarus; death certificate of close relatives or documents confirming the presence of real estate in Belarus, and etc.) as well as a copy of filled work book records (original of work book for check) with personal data and information relating to employment over the last three years - if the applicant had been employed;

Foreign citizens residing in the Republic of Belarus
- a residence permit as per the law of the Republic of Belarus (in the case of foreign citizens residing in the territory of the Republic of Belarus).

- a birth certificate;
- a notarized consent of the parent or legal guardian who has not signed the visa application form for the departure of a minor from Belarus (original and copy). If both parents

*in the Visa Centers in Brest, Pinsk and Baranovichi a notarized consent of the parent or legal guardian of a minor should be no older than a year from the date of issue - if the minor is travelling alone without parents (for. ex. as a member of a school group) - a notarized consent from both parents/legal guardians allowing the minor to leave Belarus;
- if a minor has only one guardian, an appropriate document should be submitted (court statement establishing the parent to be the single guardian, certificate of death or other document);
- for minors travelling with parents/legal guardians - copies of parents’/legal guardians’ valid visas should be provided.

The original and the copy of the invitation, registered in the Voevodish Office – in this case the document proving the sufficient funds is not required. Currently, only close family members of a Polish citizen or a person who has a permanent residence permit in Poland (parents, children, spouses) can apply for national visas to visit relatives. The invitation must be issued for at least 91 days. Close relatives (husband, wife, father, mother, son, daughter) of citizens of Poland are not required to have the invitation registered in the Voevodish Office. The invitation has to be signed in the presence of the Consul or has to be confirmed by the Notary. In this case documents proving the relationship have to be submitted (birth certificate, marriage certificate, name change certificate, etc.)

- Color, 3.5x4.5 cm, clear, clean and contrasting photo.
- Printed on high quality paper, with a white background.
- Taken not earlier than 6 months before submission.
- The applicant should be clearly identifiable:
- Full-face, with clearly visible eyes and face from both sides, from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders
- Face should cover 70-80% of the photo. No headwear is allowed
- Mouth should be closed, hair should not cover the face
- In case the applicant is wearing glasses – the following criteria is applicable: no shaded glasses, the rims should not cover the eyes, image should not contain flash/light reflections.
- In regards to religious headgear the following guidelines should be followed : chin, forehead and two cheeks should be clearly visible, no additional shadows from the headgear are allowed

Processing Time
The consulate makes a decision on a visa application within 10 days from the date of its submission for citizens of Belarus and other countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (in individual cases this period can be extended up to 30 working days). Processing time for other citizens is within 15 calendar days (in individual cases this period can be extended to a maximum of 45 days).
For citizens of countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (see https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy_en), the processing period of a visa application may not exceed 10 days.

Overview
General Information:
VISA type-D can be provided for people who are planning to stay on the territory of Poland more than 90 days in total (one or more visits) during a year starting from the day of the first entry.
Long-term VISA type-D gives a right:
- to stay On the territory of Poland till the expiration date of VISA;
- to move on the territory of the other countries-members of the Schengen Agreement not more than 90 days during every 180-day period starting from the day of the first entry.
Period of validity cannot be more than 1 year!

Service Fee
VFS service charge:
Apart from the visa fee, VFS service is charged in BYN of the equivalent of 18 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Brest, Pinsk, Baranovichi), 12,84 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Grodno, Lida) according to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus exchange inclusive of VAT per application.
Visa fee and VFS Service Charge are to be paid at the visa application centre in cash only. Visa fee and VFS Service Charge should be paid in BYN only

Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of October 01, 2019 amending the Regulation on Consular Fees and the Order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of October 24, 2019 amending the Regulation on Consular Fees, the consular fee for the acceptance and processing of an application for a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of December 11, 2023 concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who submit visa applications for a national visa, from January 01, 2024 the fee for the acceptance and processing of the visa application form is 35 euros.
The following persons are exempted from paying the consular fee for the acceptance and consideration of the visa application form for a national visa:
- persons who have submitted documents confirming the necessity of their travel for humanitarian reasons;
- children under the age of 18;
- participants of scientific, educational, cultural and creative activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- students, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers;
- students, undergraduates, postgraduates and accompanying teachers traveling for study or training purposes, including exchange programs and other school activities;
- participants in international sporting events and accompanying persons for professional purposes;
- participants of official exchange programs organized by sister cities and other municipalities;
- representatives of public organizations traveling for trainings, seminars and conferences, including within the framework of exchange programs;
- participants of official programs of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and, if necessary, persons accompanying them;
- persons applying for a visa on the basis of the Pole Card;
- spouse of a citizen/citizen of the Republic of Poland, his/her minor direct descendant or minor direct descendant of his/her spouse, his/her direct ascendant or direct ascendant of his/her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on the citizen/citizen of Poland or his/her spouse.
Visa fee - Schengen visa
Legal grounds:
Standard visa fee is 80 Euro in line with Art. 16 of the European Parliament and Council (EU) Regulations No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009 that established the Community Visa Code (Visa Code) (Journal of Law L 243 of 15 September 2009, art. 1).
Separate rules for issuing visas and fee payments for short-term visas (Schengen) are established for the citizens of the countries that have entered into the agreement with the European Community on the facilitation of visa issue procedure:
- Azerbaijan, effective from 01 September 2014
- Albania, valid from 01 January 2008
- Armenia, valid from 01 January 2014
- Belarus, valid from 01 July 2020
- Bosnia and Herzegovina, valid from 01 January 2008
- North Macedonia, valid from 01 January 2008.
- Georgia, valid from 01 March 2011
- Cape Verde, effective from 01 December 2014
- People’s Republic of China, visa facilitation agreement for tourist groups (ADS Agreement 2004)
- Moldova, valid from 01 July 2013

- Montenegro, valid from 01 January 2008
Categories of Belarus Citizens waived for Schengen visa fee payment based on the Visa Facilitation Agreement signed before Belarus and EU:
- children under 12 years old;
- citizens of the Republic of Belarus aged from 12 to 18 years who submit their visa applications at the consular departments of the Republic of Poland or visa centers in the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
- for members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by this Agreement;
- for members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation addressed to Belarus, shall participate in official meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
- for close relatives – spouses, children, parents and persons exercising the parental authority, grandparents and grandchildren of citizens of Belarus legally residing in the territory of the Member States and of citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of Belarus;
- persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural and artistic activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including in the framework of exchange programs as well as other school related activities;
- participants in international sports events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities and other municipal entities;
- representatives of civil society organizations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programs;
- participants in official EU cross-border cooperation programs between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative;
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).
Consular fees may also vary if there are bilateral agreements that regulate this question.
In case of refusal to issue a visa, the consular fee is not refundable.

Common documents required for applying for a Short-Term VISA „D”
- A Filled and Signed Visa Application Form;
- Color photograph 3.5x4.5 as per the requirements;
- Passport issued within the last 10 years that will be valid not less than 3 months after the planned date of return from the Schengen Zone. The passport has to have at least 2 empty pages dedicated to Visas;
- 2 copies of the passport pages containing the personal information;
- A travel insurance policy, valid across ALL Schengen countries during the whole period of stay of a foreign citizen on the territory of Poland with an insurance premium of not less than 30 000 Euro. Requirements for health insurance may differ depending on the purpose of visit and below are indicated with*;
- One of the below documents, proving sufficient funds during the stay in the Schengen Countries:
- A bank statement showing the current account balance;
- A valid Credit Card with a receipt showing available funds;
- A letter from the Employer, showing the salary received during the past 3 months
- A certificate showing the pension/unemployment benefit amount or Pensioner/Disability certificate
- A Belarus Republic residence permit (For foreign citizens, residing in Belarus)
- A notary consent from a parent who has not signed the application form, since the presence of signature of only one parent is enough (it means that presence of signatures from both parents is not an exempt from providing the notary consent);
- A birth Certificate (original and copy)
- A notarized consent for minor travelling abroad from a parent/legal guardian who has not signed the application form (original and copy). Before submitting please clarify the requirements for the minor travel consent of a minor by calling the Call Center. In case both parents/legal guardians are present during the submission of a minor’s visa application form, a notarized consent is not required. VISA FOR HUMANITARIAN PURPOSE
In addition to the list of required documents(Visa Application Form, photo, passport and travel insurance policy) you must fill out an application in the prescribed form at the visa center.
WORKING ACTIVITY ALLOWED DURING 12-MONTH PERIOD (“short-term work involvement”)

The original and a copy of statement of work involvement of a foreign citizen who is registered in Poland department of employment assistance in the region where the employer is registered.
VISA can be given on the basis of statement only to those people who are mentioned in the statement.
Statement does not give a right to get VISA to members of applicant’s family.
* For persons applying for a national visa for work a foreign citizen entering the territory of the Republic of Poland should present a medical insurance policy with an insurance premium of not less than 30 000 Euro, valid until the date of receipt of the right to health insurance, covering all costs that may arise during the stay on the territory, in connection with the need to return to the motherland for medical reasons, the need for urgent medical assistance, due to urgent hospitalization or death.

- The original and a copy of statement of work involvement of a foreign citizen who is registered in the province where the employer is registered.
WORK INVOLVEMENT ON THE BASIS OF WORK INVOLVEMENT STATEMENT
VISA can be given on the basis of statement only to those people who are mentioned in the statement.
Those applicants who are going to visit close relatives of Republic of Belarus citizens(who are working in Poland and have a National VISA) must apply for a Schengen VISA (90 days during every 180-day period starting from the day of the first entry) and provide along with VISA application and other documents, required for getting Schengen VISA, next documents: letter from employer that certifies the employment of foreigner in Poland.
Statement of work involvement of a foreign citizen or Work Permission is a reason for foreign citizen to stay for work involvement and not for a long stay of family members. According to the law “Foreign Citizens” 12.12.2013, after the start of work involvement a citizen has a right to ask for a stay permit for his/her family and himself/herself. The citizens of the Republic of Belarus can invite their family members while applying for VISA type C or VISA type D after receiving a residence permit.
* For persons applying for a national visa for work a foreign citizen entering the territory of the Republic of Poland should present a medical insurance policy with an insurance premium of not less than 30 000 Euro, valid until the date of receipt of the right to health insurance, covering all costs that may arise during the stay on the territory, in connection with the need to return to the motherland for medical reasons, the need for urgent medical assistance, due to urgent hospitalization or death.

SEASONAL WORK IN A PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING 9 MONTHS IN A CALENDAR YEAR "(referred to in Article 88 (2) of the Act of 20 April 2004 on employment promotion and labor market institutions)
- a statement of work involvement registered in the register of seasonal work applications, referred to in art. 88p paragraph. 1 point 2 of this Act of April 20, 2004 on employment promotion and labor market institutions
VISA can be given on the basis of statement only to those people who are mentioned in the statement.
* For persons applying for a national visa for work a foreign citizen entering the territory of the Republic of Poland, should present a medical insurance policy with an insurance premium of not less than 30 000 Euro, valid until the date of receipt of the right to health insurance, covering all costs that may arise during the stay on the territory, in connection with the need to return to the motherland for medical reasons, the need for urgent medical assistance, due to urgent hospitalization or death.
To apply for a national visa for work it is required to purchase a health insurance policy for a whole period of stay.
FUNCTION FULFILLMENT IN A LEGAL PERSON MANAGEMENT WHO IS REGISTERED IN ENTREPRENEUR REGISTER OR A JOINT-STOCK COMPANY BEFORE REGISTRATION
Subject’s Registration in the Governmental Judicial Register;
On the basis of registration in the register, the VISAs are given for a 180 days during every 12-month period starting from the day of the first entry. On the basis of registration in the register, applicants can apply for a more than 180-day period VISA and only on the basis of work permit.
On the basis of registration in the register, only the person mentioned in the register and his/her husband/wife and his/her children can apply for a VISA.
GETTING OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND EDUCATION OF OTHER FORMS WHICH WERE NOT CONSIDERED IN A LAW “FOREIGN CITIZENS” 12 DECEMBER 2013 IN ARTICLE 60 PART 1 POINTS 9 AND 10.
- University enrollment certificate original or a document that certifies the student status;
- Courses learning/participation certificate (in case of participation in courses that can be a basis for applying for a national VISA, please provide a certificate that you were included in the list of students which was made by the educational establishment. Also, it must contain a detailed information about the quantity of classes and days of study. In case of paid courses – payment certificate);
- Proof of payment of the fee, if a person undertakes or continues paid studies.
- A document confirming that a person has sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of living and return travel to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit to a third country which will grant permission to enter, and the costs of studies.
The foreigner must provide financial resources to cover all three components for the entire period of validity of the visa.
The costs of living (AD point c) in Poland include:
- Fixed and one-off amount ensuring the possibility of a return trip to the country from which the foreigner came, in the amount of:
PLN 200, if it came from a country neighboring the Republic of Poland,
PLN 500, if it came from a European Union member state that does not neighbor the Republic of Poland or from a member state of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area or from the Swiss Confederation,
PLN 2,500, if he came from another country.
- Resources covering the cost of living during the studies (eg a certificate from a residence hall, an apartment rental agreement, etc.).
- The amount of PLN 701 (or PLN 528 if the student is not staying in Poland alone, but with his family) per month as an amount ensuring that the student will not be entitled to benefit from social assistance in Poland.
Documents that can confirm the possession of sufficient financial resources are:
- traveler's check;
- certificate of the limit amount on the credit card issued by the bank that issued the credit card;
- a certificate confirming the possession of funds in a bank or a cooperative savings and credit union based in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- a document confirming the granting of a national or foreign scholarship;
- certificate of employment and amount of earnings.
It is permissible for the documents listed in point 3 (with the exception of the scholarship and traveler's check) to be issued to a person other than the applicant (it does not have to be a family). In this case, it will be necessary to attach a notarized "sponsorship letter". For example: the parents or the foundation ensure in the sponsorship letter that they will cover the student's living costs and at the same time attach a document confirming that they have adequate financial resources.
Having sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of living may be documented with a certificate of employment and the amount of earnings (paragraph 3 (1) (5) of the Regulation of the Minister of Interior and Administration of February 6, 2018 on the amount of funds that a foreigner undertaking or continuing studies must have. on the territory of the Republic of Poland).
Such a certificate may apply to a person who undertook to cover the student's living costs during the stay in Poland (e.g. a parent or parents). In this case, along with the certificate, it is necessary to present the so-called sponsorship letter. If the document confirming that the student has sufficient financial resources is a certificate of employment and the amount of earnings (student or sponsor), it is sufficient to present a certificate of the amount of monthly earnings, if the amount of monthly earnings is sufficient to cover the annual study costs
Those applicants who are going to visit close relatives of Republic of Belarus citizens(who are studying in Poland and have a National VISA) must apply for a Schengen VISA (90 days during every 180-day period starting from the day of the first entry) and provide along with VISA application and other documents, required for getting Schengen VISA, next documents: letter from educational establishment that certifies the providing education fact of foreigner in Poland.
Person can invite his/her husband/wife and his/her children who can apply for a VISA after receiving a resident permit.
* Persons applying for a visa for the purpose of study, attending Polish language courses and preparatory courses for further education in Polish as provided for in the law on higher education, must acquire a health insurance policy valid during the whole period of stay of a student on the territory of Poland with an insurance premium of not less than 30 000 Euro.
VISA FOR THE PURPOSE OF RESEARCH OR DEVELOPMENT WORK
A foreigner applying for a national visa with the annotation "scientist", to justify the purpose of travel, submits:
Agreement on admitting a foreigner for the purpose of conducting scientific research or development work concluded with a scientific unit based in the territory of the Republic of Poland as an employment contract, contract for a specific task, contract of mandate or other civil legal agreement. Such an agreement specifies:
- the title or purpose of scientific research or development work or their subject,
- the scientist's commitment to participate in conducting scientific research or development works,
- commitment of the research unit to provide the scientist with conditions to fulfill his obligation,
- the start and end date or the estimated duration of the research or development work,
- the scientist's remuneration and other working conditions,
- information on planned research or development works in the territory of other European Union Member States.
- a document confirming that he has sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of subsistence and the costs of return travel to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit to a third country which will grant permission to enter, or presents documents confirming the possession of these funds.
- a written declaration of the scientific unit, in which it undertakes to reimburse the costs of issuing and implementing the decision on obliging the foreigner to return, covered by the state budget within 6 months from the date of expiry of the agreement on admitting the foreigner, if the decision on obliging the foreigner to return is to be issued his illegal stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland.

VISA FOR INTERNSHIP
A foreigner applying for a national visa with the annotation "intern", to justify the purpose of travel, submits:
- A document confirming graduation from university studies within 2 years immediately preceding the submission of the application or a document confirming the completion of university studies outside the European Union.
- A document confirming that he has a place of residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
- Document confirming that he has sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of subsistence and travel back to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit to the third country which will grant the entry, and the costs of the internship.
- Written declaration of the internship organizer, in which he undertakes to bear the costs related to the issuance and execution of the decision obliging the foreigner to return.
- Agreement concluded in writing with the internship organizer, on the basis of which he will perform the internship. This agreement specifies:
- description of the internship program, including information about its educational purpose or educational components, theoretical and practical training, the position at which the internship will take place, the language in which the internship will take place, the level of language proficiency necessary to complete the internship, the scope and type of tasks, knowledge, practical skills and professional experience to be acquired as a result of the internship.
- duration of the internship.
- the terms of the internship and supervision, including the location of the internship and the appointment of the intern.
- internship hours.
- the rights and obligations of the parties regarding (covering the costs of internship, necessary medical examinations, insurance against accidents, days off and terms of contract termination).
- the way of confirming the acquired knowledge, practical skills and professional experience.
- information that the foreigner has completed a course of Polish or another language in which the internship takes place, or is taking such a course, at the language proficiency level necessary for the internship.
The internship should be adequate to the field and level of completed or conducted studies.

VISA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVS PROGRAM
A foreigner applying for a national visa with the annotation "volunteer" to justify the purpose of the trip shall submit:
- Document confirming that he has a place of residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
- Document confirming that he has sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of living and return travel to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit to the third country which will grant permission to enter.
- Agreement concluded with an organizational unit for which the foreigner is to provide services as a volunteer. This agreement specifies:
- description of the duration of the voluntary service
- duration of the voluntary service - conditions for carrying out and supervising voluntary work
- service hours
- funds to cover the costs of living and accommodation of the foreigner and the minimum amount of pocket money received by the foreigner
- training of the foreigner, which is necessary to perform the services.

* In the case of applying for a visa in order to study, Polish language courses and preparatory courses to study in Polish, referred to in the provisions on higher education, it is required to purchase insurance for the period until obtaining the rights resulting from the confirmed status.
In cases of visits by close family members of Belarus residing in Poland on the basis of national visas for the purpose of study or education, such persons should apply for Schengen visas (stay of 90 days in a 180-day period), submitting a letter from the university authorities confirming the fact of studying or studying in Poland.
After receiving a residence card, Belarus can independently invite close family members to visit by applying for Schengen or national visas.
THE RIGHTS OF HOLDERS OF THE POLISH ORIGIN CERTIFICATE
Applicant can apply only for a National VISA on the basis of the Polish Origin Certificate!

General Information:
Only applicants who have a right to come to destination country or those who can cross Poland in order to get to the destination country can apply for this type VISA.
AIRPORT TRANSIT VISA*
Airport transit visa is to be issued to the people travelling by air to the third countries, if they have to pass through the international transit zone in Poland. Airport transit visa A allows to stay only in the international transit zone (doesn’t allow the entry to the territory of Schengen country and leaving the international transit area of the airport).
*Applicable to the nationals of: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan and Sri Lanka.

Apart from the visa fee, VFS service is charged in BYN of the equivalent of 18 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Brest, Pinsk, Baranovichi), 12,84 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Grodno, Lida) according to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus exchange inclusive of VAT per application.

Visa fees for a Schengen visa. Legal grounds:
Standard visa fee is 80 Euro in line with Art. 16 of the European Parliament and Council (EU) Regulations No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009 that established the Community Visa Code (Visa Code) (Journal of Law L 243 of 15 September 2009, art. 1).
Visa fee amount for children aged 6 to 12 years is 40 euros.Please pay your attention that the citizens of the Republic of Belarus aged from 6 to 18 years who submit their visa applications at the consular departments of the Republic of Poland or visa centers in the territory of the Republic of Belarus are exempted from visa fee payment by the decision of the Polish authorities.

Categories of Belarus Citizens waived for Schengen visa fee payment based on the Visa Facilitation Agreement signed before Belarus and EU:
- for members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by this Agreement;
- for members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation addressed to Belarus, shall participate in official meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
- for close relatives – spouses, children, parents and persons exercising the parental authority, grandparents and grandchildren of citizens of Belarus legally residing in the territory of the Member States and of citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of Belarus;
- persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural and artistic activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including in the framework of exchange programs as well as other school related activities;
- participants in international sports events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities and other municipal entities;
- representatives of civil society organizations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programs;
- participants in official EU cross-border cooperation programs between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative;
Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland December 22, 2020, concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who apply for a national visa in Belarus, the fee for a national visa application processing has been canceled up to 31 December 2022
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).
Consular fees may also vary if there are bilateral agreements that regulate this question.
In case of refusal to issue a visa, the consular fee is not refundable.

Common documents required for applying for a Short-Term VISA „C”
- A filled and signed Visa Application Form;
- A valid color photograph of 3.5 x 4.5 cm (in accordance with Article 10 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 dated 13 July 2009;
- A passport issued during the past ten years valid for at least 3 months from the date of the planned return (in urgent cases in case justified this criterion may be omitted) with at least 2 blank pages dedicated for visas (in accordance with Article 12 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009);
- Two copy of passport pages with personal data;
- Copy of Schengen and national visas issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone for the last 3 years;
- Copy of passport pages with stamps of entries and exits of the last Schengen or national visa issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone;
- A medical insurance policy valid in the territory of all Schengen countries for an amount of at least € 30,000, covering all expenses that may arise in connection with a forced return for medical reasons requiring urgent medical care due to emergency hospitalization or death during the stay in the country of the Schengen Agreement. The insurance policy shall be valid for the entire period of stay or transit. Applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire duration of your planned stay when applying for a single or double entry visa; applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire period of the first stay when applying for a multiple entry visa (Article 15 of the EU Visa Code No. 810/2009);
- Return ticket or ticket reservation or other documents confirming the possibility of using means of transport. For example, an agreement with the carrier or a copy of the registration certificate of your own car, as well as a driver's license or documents confirming the right to use a car belonging to other persons or another type of transport, etc.
Documents proving financial means for a stay:
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months
- pension certificate / certificate of the person receiving the allowance, as well as information on the amount of payments received
- certificate of received social allowance for the last 3 months
- valid bank statement or a valid credit card copy with a bank certificate stating the financial means available for use

unemployed may confirm that they have enough financial means on the basis of a letter (“sponsorship letter”) confirming the availability of money to cover travel and stay expenses, as well as it is necessary to confirm that the sponsor has sufficient financial means (for ex., bank statement, certificate of employment with an indication of salary, proof of the presence of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).
This letter should include the following information:
- full name / first and last name, address and contact details of the sponsor,
- a copy of the sponsor's passport;
- date and signature of the sponsor,
- the relationship between the sponsor and the person applying for the visa,
- purpose and terms of the visit,
- list of expenses covered by the sponsor,
- statement of the sponsor's account with all banking operations for the last 3 months or
- traveler's checks issued on the name of the person applying for a visa or
- other documents confirming that the person has sufficient financial means for an intended trip (for ex., proof of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).

- Other unemployed applicants shall submit documents confirming their bonds with Belarus (for. ex. marriage certificate; birth certificate of a child living in Belarus; death certificate of close relatives or documents confirming the presence of real estate in Belarus, and etc.) as well as a copy of filled work book records (original of work book for check) with personal data and information relating to employment over the last three years - if the applicant had been employed;

- a residence permit as per the law of the Republic of Belarus (in the case of foreign citizens residing in the territory of the Republic of Belarus).

- a birth certificate;

- if a minor has only one guardian, an appropriate document should be submitted (court statement establishing the parent to be the single guardian, certificate of death or other document);

The consulate makes a decision on a visa application within 10 days from the date of its submission for citizens of Belarus and other countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (in individual cases this period can be extended up to 30 working days). Processing time for other citizens is within 15 calendar days (in individual cases this period can be extended to a maximum of 45 days).
For citizens of countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (see https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy_en), the processing period of a visa application may not exceed 10 days.

Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of December 11, 2023 concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who submit visa applications for a national visa, from January 01, 2024 the fee for the acceptance and processing of the visa application form is 35 euros.
The following persons are exempted from paying the consular fee for the acceptance and consideration of the visa application form for a national visa:
- persons who have submitted documents confirming the necessity of their travel for humanitarian reasons;
- children under the age of 18;
- participants of scientific, educational, cultural and creative activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- students, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers;
- students, undergraduates, postgraduates and accompanying teachers traveling for study or training purposes, including exchange programs and other school activities;
- participants in international sporting events and accompanying persons for professional purposes;
- participants of official exchange programs organized by sister cities and other municipalities;
- representatives of public organizations traveling for trainings, seminars and conferences, including within the framework of exchange programs;
- participants of official programs of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and, if necessary, persons accompanying them;
- persons applying for a visa on the basis of the Pole Card;
- spouse of a citizen/citizen of the Republic of Poland, his/her minor direct descendant or minor direct descendant of his/her spouse, his/her direct ascendant or direct ascendant of his/her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on the citizen/citizen of Poland or his/her spouse.
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).

- A medical insurance policy valid in the territory of all Schengen countries for an amount of at least € 30,000, covering all expenses that may arise in connection with a forced return for medical reasons requiring urgent medical care due to emergency hospitalization or death during the stay in the country of the Schengen Agreement. The insurance policy shall be valid for the entire period of stay or transit. Applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire duration of your planned stay when applying for a single or double entry visa; applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire period of the first stay when applying for a multiple entry visa (Article 15 of the EU Visa Code No. 810/2009);
- Return ticket or ticket reservation or other documents confirming the possibility of using means of transport. For example, an agreement with the carrier or a copy of the registration certificate of your own car, as well as a driver's license or documents confirming the right to use a car belonging to other persons or another type of transport, etc.
Documents proving financial means for a stay:
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months
- pension certificate / certificate of the person receiving the allowance, as well as information on the amount of payments received
- certificate of received social allowance for the last 3 months
- valid bank statement or a valid credit card copy with a bank certificate stating the financial means available for use

unemployed may confirm that they have enough financial means on the basis of a letter (“sponsorship letter”) confirming the availability of money to cover travel and stay expenses, as well as it is necessary to confirm that the sponsor has sufficient financial means (for ex., bank statement, certificate of employment with an indication of salary, proof of the presence of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).
This letter should include the following information:
- full name / first and last name, address and contact details of the sponsor,
- a copy of the sponsor's passport;
- date and signature of the sponsor,
- the relationship between the sponsor and the person applying for the visa,
- purpose and terms of the visit,
- list of expenses covered by the sponsor,
- statement of the sponsor's account with all banking operations for the last 3 months or
- traveler's checks issued on the name of the person applying for a visa or

Processing Time
The consulate makes a decision on a visa application within 10 days from the date of its submission for citizens of Belarus and other countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (in individual cases this period can be extended up to 30 working days). Processing time for other citizens is within 15 calendar days (in individual cases this period can be extended to a maximum of 45 days).
For citizens of countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (see https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy_en), the processing period of a visa application may not exceed 10 days.

Legal grounds:
Standard visa fee is 80 Euro in line with Art. 16 of the European Parliament and Council (EU) Regulations No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009 that established the Community Visa Code (Visa Code) (Journal of Law L 243 of 15 September 2009, art. 1).
Separate rules for issuing visas and fee payments for short-term visas (Schengen) are established for the citizens of the countries that have entered into the agreement with the European Community on the facilitation of visa issue procedure:

Categories of Belarus Citizens waived for Schengen visa fee payment based on the Visa Facilitation Agreement signed before Belarus and EU:
- children under 12 years old;
- citizens of the Republic of Belarus aged from 12 to 18 years who submit their visa applications at the consular departments of the Republic of Poland or visa centers in the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
- for members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by this Agreement;
- for members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation addressed to Belarus, shall participate in official meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
- for close relatives – spouses, children, parents and persons exercising the parental authority, grandparents and grandchildren of citizens of Belarus legally residing in the territory of the Member States and of citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of Belarus;
- persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural and artistic activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including in the framework of exchange programs as well as other school related activities;
- participants in international sports events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities and other municipal entities;
- representatives of civil society organizations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programs;
- participants in official EU cross-border cooperation programs between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative;
Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of December 11, 2023 concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who submit visa applications for a national visa, from January 01, 2024 the fee for the acceptance and processing of the visa application form is 35 euros.
The following persons are exempted from paying the consular fee for the acceptance and consideration of the visa application form for a national visa:
- persons who have submitted documents confirming the necessity of their travel for humanitarian reasons;
- children under the age of 18;
- participants of scientific, educational, cultural and creative activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- students, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers;
- students, undergraduates, postgraduates and accompanying teachers traveling for study or training purposes, including exchange programs and other school activities;
- participants in international sporting events and accompanying persons for professional purposes;
- participants of official exchange programs organized by sister cities and other municipalities;
- representatives of public organizations traveling for trainings, seminars and conferences, including within the framework of exchange programs;
- participants of official programs of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and, if necessary, persons accompanying them;
- persons applying for a visa on the basis of the Pole Card;
- spouse of a citizen/citizen of the Republic of Poland, his/her minor direct descendant or minor direct descendant of his/her spouse, his/her direct ascendant or direct ascendant of his/her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on the citizen/citizen of Poland or his/her spouse.
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).
Consular fees may also vary if there are bilateral agreements that regulate this question.
In case of refusal to issue a visa, the consular fee is not refundable.

The following persons are exempted from paying the consular fee for the acceptance and consideration of the visa application form for a national visa:
- persons who have submitted documents confirming the necessity of their travel for humanitarian reasons;
- children under the age of 18;
- participants of scientific, educational, cultural and creative activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- students, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers;
- students, undergraduates, postgraduates and accompanying teachers traveling for study or training purposes, including exchange programs and other school activities;
- participants in international sporting events and accompanying persons for professional purposes;
- participants of official exchange programs organized by sister cities and other municipalities;
- representatives of public organizations traveling for trainings, seminars and conferences, including within the framework of exchange programs;
- participants of official programs of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and, if necessary, persons accompanying them;
- persons applying for a visa on the basis of the Pole Card;
- spouse of a citizen/citizen of the Republic of Poland, his/her minor direct descendant or minor direct descendant of his/her spouse, his/her direct ascendant or direct ascendant of his/her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on the citizen/citizen of Poland or his/her spouse.
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).
Consular fees may also vary if there are bilateral agreements that regulate this question.
In case of refusal to issue a visa, the consular fee is not refundable.

Common documents required for applying for a Short-Term VISA „C”
- A filled and signed Visa Application Form;
- A valid color photograph of 3.5 x 4.5 cm (in accordance with Article 10 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 dated 13 July 2009;
- A passport issued during the past ten years valid for at least 3 months from the date of the planned return (in urgent cases in case justified this criterion may be omitted) with at least 2 blank pages dedicated for visas (in accordance with Article 12 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009);
- Two copy of passport pages with personal data;
- Copy of Schengen and national visas issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone for the last 3 years;
- Copy of passport pages with stamps of entries and exits of the last Schengen or national visa issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone;
- A medical insurance policy valid in the territory of all Schengen countries for an amount of at least € 30,000, covering all expenses that may arise in connection with a forced return for medical reasons requiring urgent medical care due to emergency hospitalization or death during the stay in the country of the Schengen Agreement. The insurance policy shall be valid for the entire period of stay or transit. Applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire duration of your planned stay when applying for a single or double entry visa; applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire period of the first stay when applying for a multiple entry visa (Article 15 of the EU Visa Code No. 810/2009);
- Return ticket or ticket reservation or other documents confirming the possibility of using means of transport. For example, an agreement with the carrier or a copy of the registration certificate of your own car, as well as a driver's license or documents confirming the right to use a car belonging to other persons or another type of transport, etc.
Documents proving financial means for a stay:
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months
- pension certificate / certificate of the person receiving the allowance, as well as information on the amount of payments received
- certificate of received social allowance for the last 3 months
- valid bank statement or a valid credit card copy with a bank certificate stating the financial means available for use

unemployed may confirm that they have enough financial means on the basis of a letter (“sponsorship letter”) confirming the availability of money to cover travel and stay expenses, as well as it is necessary to confirm that the sponsor has sufficient financial means (for ex., bank statement, certificate of employment with an indication of salary, proof of the presence of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).
This letter should include the following information:
- full name / first and last name, address and contact details of the sponsor,
- a copy of the sponsor's passport;
- date and signature of the sponsor,
- the relationship between the sponsor and the person applying for the visa,
- purpose and terms of the visit,
- list of expenses covered by the sponsor,
- statement of the sponsor's account with all banking operations for the last 3 months or
- traveler's checks issued on the name of the person applying for a visa or
- other documents confirming that the person has sufficient financial means for an intended trip (for ex., proof of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).

Processing Time
The consulate makes a decision on a visa application within 10 days from the date of its submission for citizens of Belarus and other countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (in individual cases this period can be extended up to 30 working days). Processing time for other citizens is within 15 calendar days (in individual cases this period can be extended to a maximum of 45 days).
For citizens of countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (see https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy_en), the processing period of a visa application may not exceed 10 days.

General Information:
Applicants can apply for a VISA in case they are planning to visit Poland with the below aims of trip:
- participation in sport events which are dedicated to wide-spread kinds of sports, chess tournaments, dancing competitions and etc.
- participation of actors in cultural events including musical concerts artist events and etc.
- obtaining of bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. Participation in postgraduate education (research);
- obtaining of professional skills and participation in professional development trainings;
- participation in scientific conferences, language courses and preliminary courses, obtaining education in professionally-oriented colleges and participation in religious events;
- conducting of lectures, seminars and other types of classes;
- conducting of scientific and research work;
- participation in cultural and educational exchange program, humanitarian aid program and summer activities.

Service Fee
VFS service charge:
Apart from the visa fee, VFS service is charged in BYN of the equivalent of 18 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Brest, Pinsk, Baranovichi), 12,84 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Grodno, Lida) according to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus exchange inclusive of VAT per application.
Visa fee and VFS Service Charge are to be paid at the visa application center in cash only. Visa fee and VFS Service Charge should be paid in BYN only

Legal grounds:
Standard visa fee is 80 Euro in line with Art. 16 of the European Parliament and Council (EU) Regulations No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009 that established the Community Visa Code (Visa Code) (Journal of Law L 243 of 15 September 2009, art. 1).
Separate rules for issuing visas and fee payments for short-term visas (Schengen) are established for the citizens of the countries that have entered into the agreement with the European Community on the facilitation of visa issue procedure:
- Azerbaijan, effective from 01 September 2014
- Albania, valid from 01 January 2008
- Armenia, valid from 01 January 2014

Categories of Belarus Citizens waived for Schengen visa fee payment based on the Visa Facilitation Agreement signed before Belarus and EU:
- children under 12 years old;
- citizens of the Republic of Belarus aged from 12 to 18 years who submit their visa applications at the consular departments of the Republic of Poland or visa centers in the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
- for members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by this Agreement;
- for members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation addressed to Belarus, shall participate in official meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
- for close relatives – spouses, children, parents and persons exercising the parental authority, grandparents and grandchildren of citizens of Belarus legally residing in the territory of the Member States and of citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of Belarus;
- persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural and artistic activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including in the framework of exchange programs as well as other school related activities;
- participants in international sports events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities and other municipal entities;
- representatives of civil society organizations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programs;
- participants in official EU cross-border cooperation programs between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative;
Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of December 11, 2023 concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who submit visa applications for a national visa, from January 01, 2024 the fee for the acceptance and processing of the visa application form is 35 euros.

We kindly inform you that the underage participants of organized group trips are exempted from the personal appearance providing they are not required to submit their fingerprints (Applicants younger than 12 years or Applicants who have submitted the fingerprints during the previous 59 months).
Additionally, all participants of the group trips may authorize a third party to collect processed passports on their behalf.

- Invitation original from the activity organizers (with the list of participants, information about program realization terms and information about organization that will defray the expenses connected to the trip).
- University enrollment certificate original or a document that certifies the student status;
- Courses learning/participation certificate (with the information about the type and term of the learning process; the information about the party that will defray the expenses of the applicant);
- Document that certifies the right to conduct didactic classes (invitation to conduct classes, agreement to conduct classes with the establishment );
- Invitation to conduct a scientific research;
- Invitation or a document that certifies the participation in culture or scientific exchange.

Overview
General information:
This category is applicable to persons travelling to Poland in the following cases:
- Travelling as an accompanying person (i.e. joint trip of parents and children, school group trip guides/leaders, etc.);
- Travelling for interviews in Embassies of other Countries (i.e. persons planning to apply for a visa the the USA);
- Travelling to apply for a residence permit;
- Travelling to take part in funerals;
- Travelling to visit cemeteries and memorials.
SCHENGEN SHORT STAY VISA
Short term Schengen VISA is to be issued to the individuals who are planning to stay on the territory of Poland or other Schengen countries no more than 90 days per 180-day period (one or multiple entries). The start of the period is being calculated from the date of entry to the territory of the Schengen countries. Also, short term VISA is to be issued to the individuals who are planning to transit the territory of the Schengen zone (by train, car or plane).
The length of stay on the basis of a residence permit or long-stay VISA (national) is not included into the mentioned period.
Limited territory validity Schengen VISA, «LTV»
Limited territory validity Schengen visa can be issued as an exception only in certain cases. It authorizes to travel only to the country which issued the VISA. In exceptional cases it can be valid on the territory of the number of Schengen countries. In case, each of them has provided its agreement
AIRPORT TRANSIT VISA*
Airport transit visa is to be issued to the people travelling by air to the third countries, if they have to pass through the international transit zone in Poland. Airport transit visa A allows to stay only in the international transit zone (doesn’t allow the entry to the territory of Schengen country and leaving the international transit area of the airport).

Service Fee
VFS service charge:
Apart from the visa fee, VFS service is charged in BYN of the equivalent of 18 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Brest, Pinsk, Baranovichi), 12,84 Euros (in case application is submitted in the VACs in Grodno, Lida) according to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus exchange inclusive of VAT per application.
Visa fee and VFS Service Charge are to be paid at the visa application center in cash only. Visa fee and VFS Service Charge should be paid in BYN only

Visa fees - Schengen visa.
Legal grounds:
Standard visa fee is 80 Euro in line with Art. 16 of the European Parliament and Council (EU) Regulations No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009 that established the Community Visa Code (Visa Code) (Journal of Law L 243 of 15 September 2009, art. 1).
Separate rules for issuing visas and fee payments for short-term visas (Schengen) are established for the citizens of the countries that have entered into the agreement with the European Community on the facilitation of visa issue procedure:
- Azerbaijan, effective from 01 September 2014
- Albania, valid from 01 January 2008
- Armenia, valid from 01 January 2014
- Belarus, valid from 01 July 2020
- Bosnia and Herzegovina, valid from 01 January 2008
- North Macedonia, valid from 01 January 2008.
- Georgia, valid from 01 March 2011
- Cape Verde, effective from 01 December 2014
- People’s Republic of China, visa facilitation agreement for tourist groups (ADS Agreement 2004)
- Moldova, valid from 01 July 2013
- Serbia, valid from 01 January 2008
- Ukraine, valid from 01 July 2013 r.
- Montenegro, valid from 01 January 2008
Categories of Belarus Citizens waived for Schengen visa fee payment based on the Visa Facilitation Agreement signed before Belarus and EU:
- children under 12 years old;
- citizens of the Republic of Belarus aged from 12 to 18 years who submit their visa applications at the consular departments of the Republic of Poland or visa centers in the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
- for members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by this Agreement;
- for members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation addressed to Belarus, shall participate in official meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
- for close relatives – spouses, children, parents and persons exercising the parental authority, grandparents and grandchildren of citizens of Belarus legally residing in the territory of the Member States and of citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of Belarus;
- persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural and artistic activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including in the framework of exchange programs as well as other school related activities;
- participants in international sports events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities and other municipal entities;
- representatives of civil society organizations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programs;
- participants in official EU cross-border cooperation programs between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a seriously ill close relative;
Visa fee - National visa
In accordance with the Act of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “On consular fees”, the fee of an application processing for issuing of a national visa is 135 euros.
Attention:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland of December 11, 2023 concerning the reduction of consular fees for citizens of the Republic of Belarus who submit visa applications for a national visa, from January 01, 2024 the fee for the acceptance and processing of the visa application form is 35 euros.
The following persons are exempted from paying the consular fee for the acceptance and consideration of the visa application form for a national visa:
- persons who have submitted documents confirming the necessity of their travel for humanitarian reasons;
- children under the age of 18;
- participants of scientific, educational, cultural and creative activities, including university and other exchange programs;
- students, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers;
- students, undergraduates, postgraduates and accompanying teachers traveling for study or training purposes, including exchange programs and other school activities;
- participants in international sporting events and accompanying persons for professional purposes;
- participants of official exchange programs organized by sister cities and other municipalities;
- representatives of public organizations traveling for trainings, seminars and conferences, including within the framework of exchange programs;
- participants of official programs of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the Union;
- persons with disabilities and, if necessary, persons accompanying them;
- persons applying for a visa on the basis of the Pole Card;
- spouse of a citizen/citizen of the Republic of Poland, his/her minor direct descendant or minor direct descendant of his/her spouse, his/her direct ascendant or direct ascendant of his/her spouse, if the ascendant or descendant is dependent on the citizen/citizen of Poland or his/her spouse.
The above exemption does not apply to the payment for the consideration of the appeal (re-consideration of the visa application).
Consular fees may also vary if there are bilateral agreements that regulate this question.
In case of refusal to issue a visa, the consular fee is not refundable.

We kindly inform you that the underage participants of organized group trips are exempted from the personal appearance providing they are not required to submit their fingerprints (Applicants younger than 12 years or Applicants who have submitted the fingerprints during the previous 59 months).
Additionally, all participants of the group trips may authorize a third party to collect processed passports on their behalf.
Common documents required for applying for a Short-Term VISA „C”
- A filled and signed Visa Application Form;
- A valid color photograph of 3.5 x 4.5 cm (in accordance with Article 10 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 dated 13 July 2009;
- A passport issued during the past ten years valid for at least 3 months from the date of the planned return (in urgent cases in case justified this criterion may be omitted) with at least 2 blank pages dedicated for visas (in accordance with Article 12 of the Visa Code (EU) No. 810/2009 of 13 July 2009);
- Two copy of passport pages with personal data;
- Copy of Schengen and national visas issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone for the last 3 years;
- Copy of passport pages with stamps of entries and exits of the last Schengen or national visa issued by the Member States of the Schengen zone;
- A medical insurance policy valid in the territory of all Schengen countries for an amount of at least € 30,000, covering all expenses that may arise in connection with a forced return for medical reasons requiring urgent medical care due to emergency hospitalization or death during the stay in the country of the Schengen Agreement. The insurance policy shall be valid for the entire period of stay or transit. Applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire duration of your planned stay when applying for a single or double entry visa; applicants shall have a health insurance policy that covers the entire period of the first stay when applying for a multiple entry visa (Article 15 of the EU Visa Code No. 810/2009);
- Return ticket or ticket reservation or other documents confirming the possibility of using means of transport. For example, an agreement with the carrier or a copy of the registration certificate of your own car, as well as a driver's license or documents confirming the right to use a car belonging to other persons or another type of transport, etc.
Documents proving financial means for a stay:
- valid letter from the Employer with indication of position, date of employment, salary for the last 3 months
- pension certificate / certificate of the person receiving the allowance, as well as information on the amount of payments received
- certificate of received social allowance for the last 3 months
- valid bank statement or a valid credit card copy with a bank certificate stating the financial means available for use

unemployed may confirm that they have enough financial means on the basis of a letter (“sponsorship letter”) confirming the availability of money to cover travel and stay expenses, as well as it is necessary to confirm that the sponsor has sufficient financial means (for ex., bank statement, certificate of employment with an indication of salary, proof of the presence of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).
This letter should include the following information:
- full name / first and last name, address and contact details of the sponsor,
- a copy of the sponsor's passport;
- date and signature of the sponsor,
- the relationship between the sponsor and the person applying for the visa,
- purpose and terms of the visit,
- list of expenses covered by the sponsor,
- statement of the sponsor's account with all banking operations for the last 3 months or
- traveler's checks issued on the name of the person applying for a visa or
- other documents confirming that the person has sufficient financial means for an intended trip (for ex., proof of real estate, the presence of shared ownership in business, stock option).

- Pensioners or applicants who receive allowance shall submit a certificate of the pension payment amount/ allowance or pension certificate / certificate of an applicant who receive allowance;
- Schoolchildren and students - school /student certificate or certificate from the place of study;
- Other unemployed applicants shall submit documents confirming their bonds with Belarus (for. ex. marriage certificate; birth certificate of a child living in Belarus; death certificate of close relatives or documents confirming the presence of real estate in Belarus, and etc.) as well as a copy of filled work book records (original of work book for check) with personal data and information relating to employment over the last three years - if the applicant had been employed;

Foreign citizens residing in the Republic of Belarus
- a residence permit as per the law of the Republic of Belarus (in the case of foreign citizens residing in the territory of the Republic of Belarus).

Minors
- a birth certificate;
- a notarized consent of the parent or legal guardian who has not signed the visa application form for the departure of a minor from Belarus (original and copy). If both parents
/ legal guardians are present, when applying for a visa for a minor, a notarized consent to travel abroad is not required. To download the parental consent form for a

*in the Visa Centers in Brest, Pinsk and Baranovichi a notarized consent of the parent or legal guardian of a minor should be no older than a year from the date of issue - if the minor is travelling alone without parents (for. ex. as a member of a school group) - a notarized consent from both parents/legal guardians allowing the minor to leave Belarus;
- if a minor has only one guardian, an appropriate document should be submitted (court statement establishing the parent to be the single guardian, certificate of death or other document);
- for minors travelling with parents/legal guardians - copies of parents’/legal guardians’ valid visas should be provided.
- Documents stating the trip duration and travel purpose of the person, who the applicant is accompanying;
- Documents stating the duration, purpose and place of the meeting in an Embassy;
- The official decision on the issuance of the residence permit;
- An official document (original OR copy) stating the fact of death as well as the documents proving the relationship of the applicant and the diseased person.

Photo Specifications
- Color, 3.5x4.5 cm, clear, clean and contrasting photo.
- Printed on high quality paper, with a white background.
- Taken not earlier than 6 months before submission.
- The applicant should be clearly identifiable:
- Full-face, with clearly visible eyes and face from both sides, from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders
- Face should cover 70-80% of the photo. No headwear is allowed
- Mouth should be closed, hair should not cover the face
- In case the applicant is wearing glasses – the following criteria is applicable: no shaded glasses, the rims should not cover the eyes, image should not contain flash/light reflections.
- In regards to religious headgear the following guidelines should be followed : chin, forehead and two cheeks should be clearly visible, no additional shadows from the headgear are allowed

Processing Time
The consulate makes a decision on a visa application within 10 days from the date of its submission for citizens of Belarus and other countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (in individual cases this period can be extended up to 30 working days). Processing time for other citizens is within 15 calendar days (in individual cases this period can be extended to a maximum of 45 days).
For citizens of countries with which the EU has signed visa facilitation agreements (see https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy_en), the processing period of a visa application may not exceed 10 days.
